This study was done to determine the incidence rate of cancer in Kohkilooyeh province from 1999 to 2000. The cases find out and registered by investigation of files stored in hospitals of five surrounded provinces: Tehran, Fars, Isfahan, Ahvaz and Kohkilooyeh. Cases also find out by reports of health workers. Results: 711 cases registered who were residence of Kohkilooyeh province and diagnosed as cancer case from 1999 till 2000 The incidence rate in urban was (111×105 ) more then rural (38×105) and Males (55.2) more than females (30.4). The most prevalent site was digestive system and the fewer organs were urinary tract .The most prevalent site in both sexes was digestive tract then breast in women and blood in men. Highest incidence rate was seen in 70 to 80 age group (629.3). The significance difference between rural and urban area shows serious problems in diagnosis and registration of cancer in rural area. Rates are multiplied in 100000
